Mark’s first exposure to the insurance restoration industry came as he transitioned from general construction management to managing a full-service insurance restoration firm responsible for site inspections, scope of work, estimating and managing to conclusion projects on a broad range of water, fire, and wind losses. Eventually Mark went to work for the property insurance industry’s first third-party vendor program managing a diverse network of insurance restoration contractors where he provided technical assistance and training in scoping, estimating and Xactimate.
During the 2004 and 2005 hurricane seasons Mark deployed as a field adjuster where he achieved an ‘A’ level rating for Customer Service by a major national property insurance carrier for providing superior customer service. From there he eventually transitioned into independent consulting in large-loss commercial water mitigation project management, re-inspection services, damage assessment, scope and estimate preparation.
